Safety in welding commences with the ordering of the correct product and the safe delivery of cylinders or packs to the workplace. Do not accept any cylinder or pack that is not labelled or incorrectly labelled and ensure that they are stored securely and in the upright position. Make sure there are emergency procedures in place, just in case.

Protective clothing, cleaning of metal surfaces and fumes are other important aspects that need to be taken into account when welding.
